Climbing the Wall!

I practiced retirement a few years ago just to see what it might be like. I decided I certainly wasn't ready to just lay back and soak up the sun. I wrote a list of my dreams and goals that I wanted to accomplish and I'm constantly adding to that list now. I haven't got time to retire!
I have circumvented North America by driving to Alaska, Newfoundland, Key West, and the Guatemalan border. I went back to college for a year, tried ranching and farming, overcame my fear of heights, traveled to China, learned to sail and crew for racing sailboats, started going to the gym, took up Salsa and Argentinian Tango, taught English as a Second Language, and became a professional writer.
Last year I took a sabbatical from my job and lived and worked in Mexico for 11 months. I go back to work next week for a month before heading to Europe in the middle of September to continue my adventures.
Whew! I love it! I'm healthier than I've ever been, even though I will celebrate my 60th birthday next year. I chose to climb my wall instead of letting any wall stop me from doing what I wanted. This picture was taken in February 2007 on a cruise to Mexico and was one of the goals on my list to accomplish!
In this blog I will share some of what I have already experienced and what I continue to experience in my travels and how I have chosen to change my life.
